A Sack full of Medals for Larne Juniors

Last Saturday a merry band of swimmers headed to Newtownards to take part in Ards Christmas gala. In the morning session Molly Kidd, Kate Clarkin, Bronte Barbour, Abigail Davis, Sophia Chowne all swam brilliantly getting PB times in all their swims. The top performers in the morning session were Eve Mc Keown and Ellen Millar. Eve not only got personal best times in the 50 Butterfly, 50 Breaststroke and the 100 IM but also took a Bronze medal in all the same events. Ellen Millar who took a bronze medal In the 50 Butterfly, a PB time and a bronze medal in 50 Breaststroke put the star on the tree with a pb and Gold medal in the 100 IM. All the swims in the afternoon session were great with lots of PB times and so many medals Larne SC could have had their own version of jingle bells. The top performers in the afternoon session were Luke McKillion and Sophie Doran. Luke McKilion got a PB time and silver medal in both the 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM, a bronze medal in the 100 Freestyle and PB times in 100 Butterfly and 200 Freestyle, Sophie Doran took silver medals in 100 breaststroke and 100 freestyle and got a PB time in 200 IM. Sam Magee took silver in 100 Butterfly and Bronze in 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke also a PB time in his 200 IM. Eve McKeown was having so much fun she stayed on for the afternoon session. Eve finished a great days swimming with PB times in all her afternoon swims and a silver medal in 100 Butterfly to add to her collection. Treasa O'Mahony swam a PB time in all her swims and took Bronze in 100 Breaststroke. Daniel Beggs took a Bronze in 100 Backstroke and got a PB time in 100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle. Abbje Clements and Jane Hagen both got PB times in 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle and Matthew Allen got a PB in his 100 Breaststroke. All the swimmers did a tree - mendous job. Merry Christmas Fiona
